What This Bill Does
This resolution states that the House of Representatives declares it is the policy of the United States that Iran continues to be the largest state sponsor of terrorism.
This resolution makes a simple premise that we cannot allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. Why? We cannot allow Iran to get nuclear weapons because of the second thing Iran seeks to do: create missile capability to deliver those missiles to the United States of America.
Iran is an evil empire--not the people--the Khamenei regime, which controls their great Iranian people and does not allow prosperity. This resolution is pretty simple: for us all to recognize that evil exists, and the Khamenei regime is the epitome of evil.
Let us be honest about what this resolution is. It is not new policy. It is not new information. It does nothing to protect a single American, servicemember, or ally. I think it is about politics. Maybe it is a stunt because of what Members are going to debate right after this.
