Should the House require the Congressional Budget Office to provide at least two baseline updates a year?
Increasing Baseline Updates Act (H.R. 6470)
The Congressional Budget Office would have to send Congress at least two baseline updates a year, and the President would have to submit technical budget data by February 1 if practicable.
- Requires at least one update to include the economic data the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) used
- Lets the chairs of the congressional budget committees direct CBO to do otherwise
- Requires the President to submit technical budget data to Congress on or before February 1 each year, if practicable
